Lisson Grove has its own unique history. More than a century and a half ago this place was a London slum. At the beginning of the last century, by the decision of the authorities, the area was completely transformed. Since then the area began to attract philanthropists from all over the world.

There are also many unique objects within Lisson Grove. Among them is a restaurant built from sea shells. It serves excellent fried fish and potatoes. It’s a much loved place by celebrities from all over the world. At present, it’s considered the most urbanised part of London city. It’s home to a number of preserved old sights, one in particular, is an inn built in the early 1600s. For some time,  the area was the credit of one of the historic Roman lords.

Even the roads have their own stories. Some of them were founded in the 18th century, in London. At different historical times, different characters with famous names lived in this district. Composers, artists, and other people of art loved to live and create here in the last century.

There are surviving tenement houses built on the initiative of Sir Edward Baker in 1821. Beginning in the second half of the nineteenth century, the area began to develop rapidly. The historic Portman building is located here and a little further away are some modern luxury apartments based in Portman Gate.

There are also a large number of art galleries and art centres, including Lisson Gallery which has existed in the area for more than 50 years. During that time it has been visited by a huge number of luminaries of the art world. Lisson Grove is reflected in many paintings of famous artists.

Smarthost has been managing two properties of mine in London for nearly 2 years. I feel totally relaxed and happy with their services.

Smarthost has been a game-changer for me! I've been using their services for my flat for about a year now, and the increase in bookings has been astonishing. I highly recommend them!
